Weekly Street Fashion Around the World

Fri, 03/26/2010 - 11:50AM by NYCElectronista 0 Comments - 35 Views

Being in New York, is like being in another world...you have every culture and its food, music, clothing, entertainment, etc right at your feet. And you don't even need your passport!

As a lover of fashion, I enjoy seeing how people put pieces together to create their own art instead of going to the designer's lookbook and creating a duplicate for themselves. Fashion is about creativity and uniqueness...not conformity.

Every week I'm going to showcase street fashion around the globe.

Let's take a trip to Copenhagen:

I think I have a gay boy living inside of me!

Wed, 03/24/2010 - 4:01PM by NYCElectronista 0 Comments - 324 Views

Ok, reading this title is probably making you think..."Chantae', what is wrong with you?!" Seriously, I LOVE gay boys! From their button down shirts, to the skinny jeans & well manicured nails....I'm in complete adoration! Not to mention, they make excellent dance partners!!

One thing that saddened me when I left ATL, was leaving my boyfriends....Jason & Demetri. Some of my female friends have asked me, "So, are you in search of a new gay boy?" lol I mean, we aren't exactly talking about buying a new pair of wedges!!! These are REAL people who I love & finding a temporary "replacement" is damn near impossible!

However, I will be making my way to Bar-Tini Ultra Lounge NYC in Hell's Kitchen (642 10th Avenue, on the corner of 45th and 46th St.)

Looks like a nice place, huh?!! No worries....I will take lots of pictures of the night!

Plus, I hear the drinks are good and the doormen and freakin' lovely!!! A little eye candy never hurts ;-).

Also, if you are ever in the ATL and are looking for a nice gay-friendly hangout...go to Blakes in Midtown Atlanta. I have spent many nights getting hammered while grooving to Madonna. Plus, you may run into Kim from The Atlanta Housewives!!! *Gasp* lol.

It may not look like much from the outside but this is a hot spot!! From drag shows to gay celeb spotting, you need to check it out! Who knows, you may find your own gay boy!! ;-)

So stay tuned and make sure you check back with me this weekend! I am sure to have some crazy photos of my night at Bar-Tini in Hell's Kitchen.

The Brighter Side of Life....

Tue, 03/23/2010 - 11:54AM by Atlantafashionwk 0 Comments - 17 Views

I have always been in search of the perfect Lilac lipstick. Come to find out, it is very hard to get and, surprisingly, not many cosmetic companies are making this color.

Luckily, I happened to stumble across Doe Deere and her baby, Lime Crime (www.limecrimemakeup.com).

This is Doe Deere. She is absolutely fabulous and is not afraid to rock loud & bright colors! I purchased the D'Lilac lipstick for $16 online (she does not have a retail location but is based in Brooklyn, NY). The price is kinda steep for lipstick but IT IS SO WORTH IT! The color is rich and it doesn't leave your lips feeling dry like most lipsticks do.

I rock it with another shade of lipstick underneath sometimes just to add a little variation. Oh, did I mention that it comes in this super cutesy box?!

LOVE IT!!!!!

Ladies, check out her website & blog for some super bright lipsticks and eyeshadows. You will turn so many heads while being the unique woman that you are ;-).
